Book Collection Drive: Workshop on Learning Physics on 8th May 2011

Injoria is planning to start a book bank for the students who want to study but cannot afford costly reference books. For this Injoria has started a book collection drive in Deoghar. With support of likeminded peoples we have collected around 100 books. To increase the collection we are using different strategies. In this chain we are organizing a workshop for students of class XI & XII and teachers on Learning Physics by Simple Experiments and Demonstration on Sunday 8th of May 2011 from 8 A.M to 12 P.M with support of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). IAPT was established in the year 1984 by the great visionary, (Late) Dr. D. P. Khandelwal, with active support from some Physics teachers, with the aim of upgrading the quality of Physics teaching and Physics teachers at all levels. Shri Arvind Pathak, a renowned Physics teacher of Dhanbad, Life member of IAPT and disciple of Dr.H.C. Verma Professor, Department of Physics, IITKanpur will be the resource person for the workshop.
The workshop is free but to support the above cause we are charging a registration fee in the form of books(For Students: Minimum Two books (Science or Math)For Teachers: Minimum Five books (Science or Math)). Apart from reference books we accept magazines, comics, story books, text books for class IX and above in Hindi to be circulated for free among children in rural areas and slums.
We have tried to involve and invite all the prominent senior secondary schools at Deoghar, Jharkhand. We are hoping that we will get a good number of students and teachers to participate in this workshop. This workshop will not only increase the skills of teacher and students but also will support the noble cause we are working for.
